Chura Shareef is the largest Naqshbandi Dargah in Asia and in the middle-east after the Blessed Dargah of Imam-e-Rabbani, Mujaddid Alf Thani, Sheikh Ahmad Sarhandi Farooqi (RA), in Sarhand Shareef in India.

Chura Shareef is approximately 100 kilometres from Islamabad. It was unknown to the world until Khwaja-e-Khwajgan Baba Ji Syed Noor Muhammad (RA) arrived here with their son Syed Faqeer Muhammad (RA) in 1876 CE from Theera Shareef, a tribal area in Afghanistan. It was through Baba Ji Syed Faqeer Muhammad (RA) and their descendents that the Naqshbandi blessings were to flood the entire world.

Approximately 73 Khanqah's have directly or indirectly received Faiz from Baba Ji Pir Syed Faqeer Muhammad (RA), Chura Shareef. A few of these are named here; Alipur Shareef, Eidgah Shareef, Bawali Shareef, Alummohaar Shareef, Mohra Shareef, Sharaqpur Shareef, Mohri Shareef, Dhangri Shareef, Shadpur Shareef, Atrwali Shareef, Nathyal Shareef, Ghamkol Shareef, Awan Shareef, Kayyan Shareef, Kirto Shareef, and so on.

Syed Walayat Ali Shah Sahib Gujrati (RA) states that Chura is the name given to a soap which washes away the strongest and toughest dirt from clothes. The Shuyukh of Chura Shareef washed away the sins of all those who came to them and filled their hearts with wisdom and light.

Pir Syed Jamaat Ali Shah Sahib (RA) of Alipur Shareef, was Baba Ji Pir Syed Faqeer Muhammad?s (RA) Khalifa, he commented that on Yaumul Qiyyamah when I'm asked how I spent my time in dunya, I will reply, I travelled to and from Chura Shareef all my life!

Pir Syed Jamaat Ali Shah Sahib often recited the following couplet referring to Aastaana Chura Shareef

Qabil tha main naar ke, mujhe Jannat hui Naseeb
Is Dar ki haazri se meri qismat badel gai

I was worthy of the fire, but I was given Paradise
My fate changed by attending this House (Chura Shareef)

The noor visible in the faces of the Mashaykh of Chura Shareef is proof of the Pious Blood of Sayyiduna Muhammad (sallallhu alayhi wasallam) and their ancestry links to Huzoor Ghous-e-Azam (RA).

Huzoor Khwaja Ghareeb Nawaz (RA) planted the seed of Islam in the sub-continent, Mujaddid Alf Thani, Sheikh Ahmad Sarhandi (RA) defended it during the Akbar and Jahangeer tribulations and Baba Ji Sarkar (RA) spread this message in all directions.
